Dr. Magid Al-Gunaid, is a medical doctor specialized in Health Systems Management and Public Administration.
During the period 1996-1999, Dr. Al-Gunaid served as the District Health Director in Ibb governorate, Yemen. After that, he was appointed as the Director of Health Insurance, and then held the Director General position of the Planning Directorate, then the Director General of Health Policy and Technical Support Unit until mid-2004. In June 2004, he was appointed as the Deputy Minister for Primary Health Care at the Ministry of Public Health and Population, Yemen. In 2016, he Joined the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET) as the Polio and Immunization Team leader then the Public Health Programs Director since March 2020.
