Dr. Sahar Mahmoud Samy is FETP-Egypt Coordinator.
Graduated from Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Egypt in 1987.
Obtained a Master Degree in Public health, Cairo University in 1991, and a Master Degree in Pediatrics, Ain shams university in 1994, FETP in 2011 & Egyptian Fellowship in Applied Epidemiology in 2012. From 2009-2011, head of “Prevention and Control of Viral Hepatitis Unit”, succeeded in launching the “National Plan for Prevention and Control of Viral Hepatitis in Egypt”. From 2014-2019, Executive Manager of the International Emerging Infectious Disease Program (IEIP) in Cooperation with US-CDC. In 2018, member of the TEPHINET Advisory Scientific Committee (TASC). In 2020, elected as the chairperson for the FETP Board of Directors.
